Congratulations your new tooth has been fitted today! Here are some post crown insertion instructions that you need to take care of:
1. Treat your implants crowns or bridges just like your normal teeth.
2. Chew normally from both the sides of your mouth.
3. If you feel high from anywhere after the insertion appointment, do not wait for it to settle down, visit us immediately for proper balancing.
4. The implant crown will usually last you for 5-10 years but might require some polishing once in a few years.
5. This is not the end of your treatment but start of a life long journey, you have to visit the practice the next day, after 15 days, after 3 months and then after every 6 months for a check x-ray and scaling.
6. Use a water flosser once daily before sleeping. The water flosser helps clean the areas between your teeth. The diameter of the implant is less than that of the tooth that is replaced always. Also, with age our gums and bones recede so using an inter dental aid is necessary.
7. Brush your teeth and implant crowns after every meal. This helps maintain ideal hygiene.
8. If you notice that your crown is mobile or loose, visit the clinic immediately, this is called screw loosening, which is rare but can be easily fixed.
